Train
It takes just under an hour to get here from London Victoria or Kings Cross Thameslink; there are also direct routes along the coast if you are not coming via London. At the station there are cash machines, a bureau de change and buses and taxis waiting outside, or a very old form of transport "walking", just walk for 10 minutes straight down and you're at the seafront.

Road
Less than 2 hours from central London, down the A23/M23 and 30 minutes from the M25 /M23 London Orbital. If you are not travelling via London you'll probably be on the A27.

Air
Less than 30 minutes from Gatwick International Airport. Less than 90 minutes from Heathrow International airport.

Parking
A bit tricky as with any City and slightly expensive, if you are not parking in a multi-storey you will need to get vouchers from newsagents and other shops displaying a green "V" outside. Voucher parking starts at £1 and the cheapest car park is at the bottom of Trafalgar Street. All areas are now pay and display. (Park legally or you WILL get towed.. I know -Ed)

Bus
Buses are easy, just a £1.30 flat rate and lots of them. Night buses are infrequent so check first. (There are digital signs at bus-stops in town that tell you when the next one's due! Get a map at your hotel or ask at reception - Ed)
